ELECTION NEWS:
  • Advance Voting at the Board of Elections and Registration began October 13 and will run until October 31. Hours are from 8am to 5 pm, Monday-Friday. The BER Office will be open for Saturday voting on October 25, from 9am to 4 pm.

  • Advance voting at the County Administration Building begins Monday, October 27 and runs through Friday, October 31. Hours are from 8am to 5pm. Putnam County Electors are encouraged to visit this location where there are more voting machines to accommodate their needs.

  • Georgia law (O.C.G.A ยง 21-2-417) requires Georgia residents to show photo identification when voting in person.  For additional information, please click here or call (706) 485-8683.

  • State law requires the public availability of voter lists, which include names and addresses of registered voters. In 2009, the Georgia Legislature enacted a bill known as the VoteSafe program to provide for the confidentiality of residence addresses of certain registered voters who have been, or may be, subject to acts of family violence or stalking or currently reside in a family violence shelter.   • Residents of Georgia who have either a driver's license or identification card issued by the Department of Driver Services may now register to vote entirely online!  Please click here to access the Online Voter Registration System.

  • A Georgia voting information smart phone app is now available!  Search the Android Market or iTunes Store for the "GA Votes" app.
