Elections and Registration News

-Georgia law (O.C.G.A. § 21-2-417) requires Georgia residents to show photo identification when voting in person. For additional information, please click here or call 706.485.8683.

-If you have misplaced your precinct card or have not yet received one after registering , you can now access it and print it at home by visiting your My Voter Page on the Secretary of State's website. Voters are not required to show their precinct card at the polls

-Voter Registrations for the December 6, 2022 General Election Runoff are currently on hold.  Anyone that wants to register to vote, change their voter registration address, or change the name on their voter registration can come by the office and obtain a voter registration card, download one here, or fill out an online voter registration application.  When the registrations are taken off hold, we will process any registrations or changes submitted.

-Advance voting for the December 6, 2022 General Election Runoff will be open on Monday, November 28, 2022 at 9:00 am and closes on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 5:00 pm. Voting hours are Monday-Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm with no voting on Sundays or the Saturday immediately prior to the election.

Advanced Voting is ONLY held at:

Putnam County Board of Elections, 117 Putnam Drive, Suite D, Eatonton, GA 31024

Election Day precincts will be open on Tuesday, December 6 from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.

Voter Registration Deadline!!!!

Applications for the December 6, 2022 General Election Runoff are no longer available.  The deadline to apply was November 28, 2022. The dropbox to return ballots is open during Advance Voting hours only at the Board of Elections office.  Ballots can be brought in by hand until 7Pm on December 6.

-Please remember that it is against the GA Election Code to take pictures or film inside of a polling place without prior permission.
